黄金水仙　オランダ黄水仙

天保十五年甲辰二月十八日、雨窓にて一鉢を実写

オランダ水仙は月下香（夜来香）のことを言い、その形状は波羅門人参に似て、ニヌルリイ草に類する。夏に開花し、葉は六弁の白花を咲かせ、普通の水仙とは異なる。この黄水仙とは形状が大いに異なる。黄水仙は天保九年に初めて渡来し、非常に珍重されている。

Golden Narcissus - Dutch Yellow Daffodil

The Dutch narcissus refers to tuberose (night-fragrant flower), and its form resembles Brahmi ginseng and is similar to the ninururii grass. It blooms in summer with six-petaled white flowers on its leaves, differing from ordinary narcissus. This yellow narcissus has greatly different characteristics. The yellow narcissus first arrived in Tenpō 9 and is extremely prized.
