命（めい）を天（てん）に稟（うけ）て皆（みな）能（よく）無病（むひやう）長生（ちやうせい）
にして優（ゆたか）に百年（ひやくねん）の寿（ことふき）を保（たもつ）へし

【右丁】
この編は人の無病長生を欲するための書物である。疾病の発生する所、保養の
慎むべき所を論じている。仮名文字でこれを記してその理解しやすさを
願う。試みに一帙を座右に置いてこれを愛読すれば、真に長寿の境地に
達するための一助となるであろう。文化丙寅初夏収蔵

The words of its preface state: "Indeed, humans receive life from Heaven and should all be able to maintain good health and longevity, abundantly preserving a lifespan of one hundred years.
