それから釈迦は大通世尊ともてはやされ、浄土での遊びにも飽き足りて、これから少し気を変えて辰巳新宿南部の方へ心を向けたが、あまり長い話で退屈だろうということで、右の三ヶ所は後編に譲り、しばらく遊びを止めることにした。

From then on, Shakyamuni was celebrated as the Great Universal World-Honored One, and having grown weary of the pleasures of the Pure Land, he now turned his attention toward the Tatsumi, Shinjuku, and southern districts. However, as this would make for too long a tale and become tedious, the author decided to defer these three locations to a sequel and pause the entertainment for now.
