現代語訳

同年、永井伊賀守殿の京都所司代を御免になり、戸田山城守殿が仰せ付けられた。 同年十二月、法皇御所の広書院より出火し、女院御所が炎上した。 一 延宝四年辰、増上寺で失火があり本堂が焼失したが、御霊屋は無事であった。 同年九月、伊勢内宮で失火があり、町中が焼失した。 同年八月、堀田上総介殿については、先年酒井左衛門尉殿へ御預けになっていたところ、今夏松平阿波守殿へ御預け替えとなった。左衛門尉殿のもとで自由に外出などがあったと相聞こえ、右の通り左衛門尉殿は閉門を仰せ付けられ、上総介殿の家来男女四十八人は松平隠岐守殿・松平越中守殿・脇坂中務少輔殿へお召し預けとなった。 同年辰三月三十日、越後高田城下で失火があり、士家二百四十軒、町家三丁ほどが焼失した。 同年三月、上方で洪水があり、九条橋が流れ、堤が切れること七千間、京中に水が押し入った。 同年五月、長崎探題末次平蔵・内平兵衛父子は松平出羽守殿家来へ渡され隠岐国へ流罪、並びに末子三十郎・下田弥三左衛門養子、この二人は大久保出羽守殿・松浦肥前守殿家来に渡されへ流罪。家来蔭山九大夫・通事下田弥三左衛門は磔、弥留九郎左衛門・蔭山九大夫子は獄門、手代吉野藤兵衛は追放、下田太左衛門は御預け、平蔵子平左衛門は無罪で追放、平蔵娘は御赦免、母共々伯父町人久松吉兵衛が引き取った。平蔵の没収財産は高木作左衛門の御預けとなった。右は富貴にて奢り、その上武具を唐へ渡したことなど、もって御咎めがあり、右の通りの御仕置きである。 同年、オランダ人が定例の献上の外に、ロバ二匹を献上した。 同年六月二日、石州津和野で大地震があり、家数百三十軒が倒れ、死者七人、怪我人三十五人であった。(乗邨按:去年六月二日にも津和野地震があり、重複記載か) 一 延宝五年巳春、御連歌 「生そふや代々に若葉のならひ松 昌陸  竹に治る 庭のはる風 朝鳥はおくのいわ井の声立て  昌純」 同年十月九日夜、伊豆の浦々で津波があり、高さ二丈五六尺、八ヶ村が浪に取られ二百人余が死没、牛馬・漁具・塩竈が浪に取られた。奥州岩城領の浦々でも同夜津波があり、人馬多数が死んだ。 (同年八月の書き込みあり) (乗邨按:上野介殿になるべし) (同年十月の朱筆書き込みあり) (同五年巳二月十二日、南都地震、津波で在家二十軒が流される。按に南都は海に面していない)

Same year, 12th month: Fire broke out from the Hiroshoin hall of the Retired Emperor's palace, and the Empress's palace was consumed in flames. 1. Same year, 5th month: Nagasaki deputy Suetsugu Heizo and Uchi Heibei (father and son) were handed over to Lord Matsudaira Dewa-no-kami's retainers and exiled to Oki Province. Additionally, youngest son Sanjuro and Shimoda Yazaemon's adopted son - these two were handed over to Lords Okubo Dewa-no-kami and Matsuura Hizen-no-kami's retainers for exile. Retainer Kageyama Kudayu and interpreter Shimoda Yazaemon were crucified, Yarutome Kuroemon and Kageyama Kudayu's son were gibbeted, clerk Yoshino Tobei was banished, Shimoda Tazaemon was placed under custody, Heizo's son Heizaemon was banished without crime, Heizo's daughter was pardoned, and she and her mother were taken in by their uncle, townsman Hisamatsu Kichibei. Heizo's confiscated property was placed under the custody of Takagi Sakuzaemon. This was because of their extravagant wealth and also for sending military equipment to China, resulting in punishment as described above.
