東宮の教育に関わることは辞退することができず、そこでその末尾に書き記すことにした。「飲食の滋味は生を養うためのものであるが、食べることに害があれば反って害をなすことができる。まして疱瘡においては、その関わるところがとりわけ重要であり、このことによって危険に陥る者がしばしばある。どうして軽視できようか。この書の出版は実に疱瘡治療家にとっての至宝であり、広く伝えられて秘匿されるべきではない。」

The duty to the Crown Prince's education cannot be declined, so I write at the end: "Food and flavors nourish life, but when eating becomes harmful, it can instead cause damage. Especially with smallpox, what it affects is particularly important, and there are often those who fall into danger because of this. How can this be taken lightly? The publication of this book is truly a supreme treasure for smallpox practitioners, and it should be widely transmitted and not kept secret."
