一、八月八日 高森御代官美濃部勘右衛門殿御支配所郷村帳を去る四日に受取が済み、右に出向いた御役人共は直ちに吉江まで赴き、石田御代官柴村藤兵衛殿御支配所郷村帳を今日受け取った。
一、同月十三日 御領所の件につき御用掛りの面々へ仰せ渡される御書付を、鈴木彦太夫が江戸表より持参して帰参したため、今日御家老狛伊勢宅において、酒井丹下、芦田右衛門、稲葉采女が列座し、右御書付を御用掛りの面々へ伊勢が渡した。

August 8th: The village registers (gōson-chō) for the territories under the jurisdiction of Takamori Deputy Minobe Kanuemon were received on the 4th. The officials who went for this purpose proceeded directly to Yoshie and today received the village registers for the territories under the jurisdiction of Ishida Deputy Shibamura Tōbē.
August 13th: Regarding the domain territories, Suzuki Hikotayū returned from Edo carrying official documents to be transmitted to those in charge of territorial affairs. 1. You shall be exclusively responsible for the administrative affairs (shōmu-kata) of the domain territories. For matters concerning temples and shrines as well as all other official business and judicial administration, you should consult with Inoue Handayū. Furthermore, you should also consult with Eguchi Jirōbē before reporting. First and foremost, you must carefully observe and report whether the deputies and assistants of the deputy administrators (daikan) are taking bribes or showing favoritism. While administrative affairs are primary, this is merely the outward aspect. More important than this is the aforementioned matter, so you must regard this as essential.
