一御先物者頭樋口喜左衛門組之者不残致類焼候ニ付諸勤御用捨口上書を以御先月番太田三郎兵衛

廿九日之晩附火仕置候を見付早速相消申候火見へ候程ニハ無之人なり隣家之者も不存程之事故仲ヶ間を以急
度御達ハ不仕候然共先年も此者方へ附火有之両度之事故段々吟味之趣留有之
一元文四未七月八日寺町小栗九右衛門中村太郎左衛門組不残類焼当分小屋掛仕候迄御奉公難相勤候付口上書を以相願御番等
御免被成候即両人儀ハ組之者類焼ニ付寄親之勤御免与申渡ハ難被仰付候得共御番致手前ニ而当分両人之御番見除置候
様ニ御奏者番ゟ申聞可然旨杢方被申聞候段々取扱留同十日之所ニ委細有之同月廿四日改組共ニ御番相勤度

類焼したため、これもまた右同様に申し聞かせ、御先月番へ申し達した。この節、御先組は御人数が少ないため、三国川下の米舟への上乗りに御先組を指し遣わすことが難しくなったので、その段を御奉行へ申し達し、御長柄の者を上乗りに振り替えて申し付けるよう申し達した。
一、御先物頭樋口喜左衛門組の者が残らず類焼したため、諸勤めを御用捨してもらうよう口上書をもって御先月番太田三郎兵衛が御家老中へ相達したところ、助け合って相勤めるよう申し聞かされたので、喜左衛門は当分の間、当番を引いた跡、助番として相勤める旨を申し聞かせた。かつまた三郎兵衛も組の者が残らず類焼したが、三月の陣屋守については、そのまま相守ることができる旨を断って申し聞かせた。
一、享保十二年未五月朔日 杉田段七が真杉所左衛門宅へ出向いて申し達したのは、「私の組の宮川武兵衛という者の家の脇の雪隠で、辰年の昨二十九日の晩に付け火をしたのを見つけて早速消した。火が見えるほどではなく、人も知らず隣家の者も存じない程のことなので、仲間を通じて急に御達はしなかった。しかし先年もこの者の方へ付け火があり、両度のことなので段々吟味した」趣が留にある。
一、元文四年未七月八日 寺町小栗九右衛門、中村太郎左衛門組が残らず類焼し、当分小屋掛けをするまで御奉公が勤められないため、口上書をもって相願い、御番等を御免になった。すなわち両人は組の者の類焼により寄親の勤めを御免になったと申し渡すのは難しいが、御番については手前の都合で当分両人の御番を見除き置くよう御奏者番から申し聞かせるのがよろしい旨、杢方が申し聞かされた。段々の取り扱いは留の同十日の所に委細がある。同月二十四日、改めて組共に御番を相勤めたい旨の達があり、取り扱いの留がある。
一、同年十一月十一日 林又左衛門組の斎川弥左衛門という者が、広瀬御蔵の米納め御用で出かけて居た留守に出火させたため、当五日に呼び戻して押し込め置いたところ、今日から差し免すよう御家老中へ伺った上で又左衛門が申し達した。

Since all members of Senior Commander Higuchi Kizaemon's group suffered fire damage, a written petition was submitted through Senior Monthly Duty Officer Ota Saburobē to the senior retainers requesting exemption from various duties. They were told to help each other in performing duties, so Kizaemon was informed that he would temporarily step down from regular duty and serve as an assistant. Additionally, although Saburobē's group members had all suffered fire damage, he reported that he could continue to maintain guard duty at the camp quarters in the third month.
1. May 1st, Kyōhō 12 (Year of the Sheep) - Sugita Dan'nana went to Masugi Shozaemon's residence and reported: "A man named Miyagawa Takebē from my group had an arson attempt at the toilet beside his house on the evening of the 29th of last month (Year of the Dragon). We discovered it and immediately extinguished it. The fire was not visible enough for people to notice, and even the neighbors were unaware, so we did not make an urgent report through intermediaries. However, since there had been an arson attempt at this person's place in previous years, making this the second incident, we conducted a thorough investigation." This matter is recorded in the files.
1. July 8th, Genbun 4 (Year of the Sheep) - Temple Town's Oguri Kuemon and Nakamura Tarozaemon's groups completely suffered fire damage. Since they could not perform official duties until temporary shelters were built, they submitted a written petition requesting exemption from guard duties and other obligations. The two men could not be officially told they were exempt from their foster parent duties due to their group members' fire damage, but it would be appropriate for the Chamberlain to inform them that their guard duties would be temporarily suspended due to their circumstances, as advised by the Construction Office. Details of the various arrangements are recorded under the entry for the 10th of the same month. On the 24th of the same month, there was a request to resume guard duties along with the reformed groups, and this is recorded in the arrangement files.
1. November 11th of the same year - A man named Saikawa Yazaemon from Hayashi Matazaemon's group caused a fire while away on official business delivering rice to the Hirose Granary. He was recalled on the 5th and placed under house arrest, but Matazaemon reported to the senior retainers requesting his release starting today.
