一享保 堀文左衛門御目付堀重兵衛方へ罷越申聞候ハ自分組小頭佐右衛門と申者向雪
隠少々燃上り即鎮り候様子物語有之候付組之者早速遣為相改候事尤御家老中
へ相達候文左衛門ゟも相達筈
一宝暦二申七月十六日御先岩村門右衛門組飯塚左賀七家火事沙汰有之早速
消留出火与申程之儀ニ而も無之候得共火之元不沙汰之取扱不調法ニ付左賀七押
込置候由申聞候ニ付其趣御家老中へ申達候右ニ付門右衛門儀も仲間月番高田金太夫
を以遠慮相伺候得共不及其儀旨被申渡候留諸事留ニ有之
一同三酉十一月廿七日御先堀勘左衛門組居【？】村安兵衛与申者火燵ニ火を活蒲団懸家
内一家共方へ罷越候跡ふとんへ火移り燃立隣家之者見付消鎮右ふとん迄ニ而外へ
少も相障儀無之候得共火之元不沙汰趣ニ而安兵衛押込置候旨承置候様申聞候ニ付御序
を以御家老中へ致御物語候由尤同晦日指免候段勘左衛門申聞候事
一中根新左衛門組享和元酉年并文化六巳年と拾年之間ニ両度類焼右間も無之類焼ニ付両度
共拝借銀被仰付候処極難渋ニ付同八未年暮ゟ願之上弐拾年賦被成下候事
一享和元酉二月廿六日杉田権之助組弐拾軒致類焼当時小屋掛出来迄先規之通御先筒組

組町火事
一、享保年間 堀文左衛門が御目付堀重兵衛方へ出向いて申し聞かせるには、「自分の組の小頭佐右衛門という者の向かい側で雪隠が少々燃え上がり、すぐに鎮火した様子」という物語があったため、組の者を早速遣わして改めさせた事。もっとも御家老中へ相達し、文左衛門からも相達するはず。
一、宝暦二年申七月十六日 御先岩村門右衛門組の飯塚左賀七の家で火事沙汰があり、早速消し留めた。出火というほどの儀でもなかったが、火の元の不注意の取り扱いが不調法であったため、左賀七を押し込め置いたと申し聞かせたので、その趣を御家老中へ申し達した。右につき門右衛門も仲間月番高田金太夫をもって遠慮を相伺ったが、その儀に及ばない旨を申し渡された。留は諸事留にある。
一、同三年酉十一月二十七日 御先堀勘左衛門組の居村安兵衛という者が、火燵に火を活かし蒲団を懸け、家内一同が他所へ出かけた跡で蒲団に火が移り燃え立った。隣家の者が見つけて消し鎮めた。右蒲団までで外へは少しも相障る儀はなかったが、火の元不注意の趣で安兵衛を押し込め置いた旨、承り置くよう申し聞かせたので、御序をもって御家老中へ御物語した。もっとも同晦日に指し免した段を勘左衛門が申し聞かせた事。
一、中根新左衛門組 享和元年酉年並びに文化六年巳年と十年の間に両度類焼し、右の間もなく類焼したため両度共拝借銀を仰せ付けられたところ、極めて難渋したため、同八年未年暮れから願いの上、二十年賦にて成し下された事。
一、享和元年酉二月二十六日 杉田権之助組二十軒が類焼し、当時小屋掛けができるまで先規の通り御先筒組の御助番を申し付けるよう申し聞かせたので、その段を御先月番へ申し達した。かつまた御留守物頭桑山十右衛門組六軒余り

1. Kyōhō period - Hori Bunzaemon went to Inspector Hori Jūbē and reported: "There was a story that a toilet on the opposite side of my group's squad leader Saemon caught fire slightly and was immediately extinguished." Therefore, he quickly sent group members to investigate the matter. This was naturally reported to the senior retainers, and Bunzaemon was also to report it.
1. July 16th, Hōreki 2 (Year of the Monkey) - There was a fire incident at the house of Iizuka Sagashichi from Senior Commander Iwamura Mon'emon's group, which was quickly extinguished. Although it was not serious enough to be called a real fire, since the careless handling of the fire source was negligent, Sagashichi was placed under house arrest, as reported. This matter was conveyed to the senior retainers. Regarding this, Mon'emon also requested abstention through his colleague and monthly duty officer Takada Kintayū, but was told it was unnecessary. The record is kept in the general records.
1. November 27th, the same 3rd year (Year of the Rooster) - A man named Imura Yasubē from Senior Commander Hori Kanzaemon's group had left a fire burning in his brazier with a futon cover on it, and after the entire household had gone elsewhere, the fire spread to the futon and flared up. A neighbor discovered it and extinguished it. The damage was limited to the futon with no harm to anything outside, but since it was a case of fire negligence, Yasubē was placed under house arrest. We were told to take note of this, so it was reported to the senior retainers at an appropriate time. Kanzaemon reported that he was released on the last day of the same month.
1. Nakane Shinzaemon's group - In the ten years between Kyōwa 1 (Year of the Rooster) and Bunka 6 (Year of the Snake), they suffered fire damage twice, and since the second fire occurred shortly after the first, they were granted loan silver both times. However, due to extreme financial difficulty, from the end of Bunka 8 (Year of the Sheep), upon request, they were granted a twenty-year repayment plan.
1. February 26th, Kyōwa 1 (Year of the Rooster) - Twenty houses in Sugita Gonnosuke's group suffered fire damage.
