一、五月十七日 今暁今庄駅にて九時御出発の触れがあり、今日昼九時半二寸五分に福井城に御到着された。荒井の一里塚辺りから御馬上になり、直ちに御座の間に御着座された。揩五郎様との御対面を済ませ、御控所にお入りになった。御方々様からの御使いを済ませ、御家老・御側御用人への御挨拶を済ませ、韃靼の間で高知・高家・御留守居への御挨拶を済ませた。御帰国御礼使者有賀内記の御目見得、御意を拝領し、拝領物への御挨拶を済ませ、御庭の四社に御参拝をなさった。
貞照院様から御肴料金百疋
揩五郎様から交御肴 一台 御着城御歓迎として進上された
一、御側向頭取の当番はこれまで隔日で勤めていたが、当年から思し召しにより三番制で勤めるべき旨を、御側御用人大宮藤馬を通じて仰せ出された。
一、五月十六日 今朝御座の間において御懇意の隠居の御目見得があった。

Item: May 17th - This dawn there was notification of departure from Imajō station at 9 o'clock, and today at 2 sun 5 bu past half past 9 in the afternoon, his lordship arrived at Fukui Castle. From around the one-ri marker at Arai, he mounted his horse and proceeded directly to take his seat in the formal chamber. After completing the meeting with Lord Kegorō, he entered the waiting room. After receiving messengers from the various ladies, completing greetings with the senior councilors and chamberlains, and completing greetings with the magistrates, high-ranking families, and caretakers in the Tartar room, there was an audience with return envoy Ariga Naiki, who received gracious words and gifts, completed the greetings, and his lordship paid respects at the four shrines in the garden.
