△萬物種より生ず然連ども其種悪しければ必後能
　患阿り中尓も蚕の事年の気運尓佐ふといへとも
　多くは種の阿しきを以て繭を得る古と至て少し又善
　き種を求め跡といへとも飼養の法を知らざ連は四眠毎

△万物は種から生じるものである。しかしながら、その種が悪ければ必ず後に害がある。中でも蚕のことは、年の気運に左右されるとはいえ、多くは種の悪さによって繭を得ることが極めて少ない。また良い種を求めたとしても、飼養の方法を知らなければ、四眠の度に病気が生じ、ひとえに死んでしまい、繭も薄くなる。女性の仕事であるから、学び習得すべきである。
