現代語訳
庭起き以後に桑を与えたならば、稚蚕期までとは違い、甚だ熱気を嫌うものであるから、最初より置いてあるこかい屋においても庭起き分けをしたならば、前々よりは藁の数を薄くなるように棚へ上げるべきである。とかく数が多ければ熱気も増すことであるから、このようにして良い。もちろん、こたつに向かい、蚕の増加次第により別の座敷で西風の入る処を用い、鼠が触らないように棚を設えて置くのが良い。
一、蚕が飛び立つ前に、筵や菰の類で長さ五尺ほど、幅二尺五寸程になるよう満ふしを十一通り位に立て、蚕藁二枚を右のまぶし菰一枚へ入る積もりに心掛けて置き、飛び立った蚕を偏りなく入れ、梁の下へ太縄三筋を這い、二間半の間に張る。

1. Before the silkworms begin to spin cocoons, prepare mabushi (cocooning frames) made of straw mats or straw coverings, approximately five shaku long and two shaku five sun wide, setting up about eleven of them. Plan to put two silkworm straw mats into one mabushi straw covering, and when the silkworms are ready to spin, distribute them evenly. Stretch three thick ropes under the beams across a span of two and a half ken.
