大地震并類焼の為に野宿（のじゆく）する窮民（きうみん）へ
御公儀様より御｜憐愍（れんみん）を以（もつて）此度
幸橋御門外 外に
浅草広小路 深川八幡宮境内
深川海辺大工町 東叡山山下火除地
右五ヶ所へ御救小屋建これに依て市中｜貧窮（ひんきう）の者と
いへども雨露（うろ）飢渇（きくわつ）の煩（わづら）ひなく渡世の
御救 御用 道を得るに至る
小屋 御上様御慈悲御仁恵之程 仰（あふぎ）
奉にも猶 余（あま）りあり実に難有
事どもなり
御用 御上様御仁徳を仰ぎ奉り市中
家持之町人共分限の及ぶかぎり御救
御用 小屋へ者へほどこしとして送る品々山の
町会所 如くにして日々に沢（さは）也誠に上（かみ）を見習ふ下

大地震および類焼のために野宿を余儀なくされている窮民へ、御公儀様より御憐憫をもって、この度
幸橋御門外 その他
浅草広小路 深川八幡宮境内
深川海辺大工町 東叡山山下火除地
右五ヶ所に御救小屋を建てられた。これにより、市中の貧しい者たちも、雨露をしのぎ、飢えや渇きの苦しみなく、生計を立てる道を得るに至った。

御上様の御慈悲・御仁恵のほど、仰ぎ奉るにも猶余りあり、誠にありがたいことどもである。

Relief shelters (o-sukui-goya) have been erected at these five locations. As a result, even the poorest residents of the city have been freed from the hardships of exposure to rain and dew, and from the suffering of hunger and thirst, and have been given a means of sustaining their livelihoods.

Looking up in reverence to Our Lord's benevolence, the property-owning townspeople of the city have also, each to the extent of their means, sent provisions as charitable offerings to those in the relief shelters. The goods pile up like mountains, and each day they grow more abundant. Truly, this is an example of those below following the example set by those above — a most admirable and grateful hallmark of this blessed reign.
