おもふておもしろくなくさみ。はるかぜのふかぬ事もないが。なせわがうれをはふきちらしてはくれぬ
ぞ。はるの日のなかいに付て。あさからばんまで。ひとへにうれいがしみついてはなれぬと也

現代語訳

【春思】賈至作

草の色は青々として柳の色は黄色く、桃の花は咲き乱れて李の花は香しい。
春風は愁いを吹き去るために吹かないのか、春の日はひとえに恨みを長引かせることができる。

春も盛りの様子を詠んでいる。草の色も青く、柳も黄ばんで芽を差す頃。桃の花も咲き乱れて春の盛りなので、何の悲しいこともないはずだ。このように花も春だと心よく咲き、人も春だと思って面白く慰められる。春風が吹かないことはないが、なぜ我が憂いを吹き散らしてはくれないのか。春の日の長いことによって、朝から晩まで、ひとえに憂いが染み付いて離れないということである。

[Spring Thoughts] by Jia Zhi

The grass is verdantly green and the willow's color is yellow, peach blossoms bloom in profusion and plum flowers are fragrant.
Does the spring wind not blow to dispel sorrow? The spring day is particularly able to draw out and prolong resentment.

This poem describes the height of spring's beauty. The grass is green in color, and the willows are yellowing as they put forth buds. The peach blossoms bloom in wild profusion, and since it is the height of spring, there should be nothing sad about it. In this way the flowers bloom joyfully because it is spring, and people too find pleasure and consolation thinking it is spring. It's not that the spring wind doesn't blow, but why won't it blow away my sorrows? Because of the length of spring days, from morning until evening, sorrow alone clings fast and will not depart.
