《割書：夜受降城に上りみれば回｜楽峰の近所は沙の上がまつ｜白くて雪のやうにみゆる手｜まへの上た受降城あたりは｜霜のごとく月がさへてもの｜すごひ此風景のさひしゐ｜おりからどこでやら｜蘆管の曲をふくが｜きこゆる此曲を聞ては｜ このあたりへ征伐に｜ 来たものは故郷を｜ 思ひ出すで｜ あらふ｜ わればかり｜ では｜ あるまい》

夜に受降城に上って笛を聞く
回楽峰の前の砂は雪のようで、受降城の外の月は霜のよう。どこで蘆管を吹いているのかわからないが、一夜中征人はことごとく故郷を望み慕う。
《解説：夜に受降城に上ってみると、回楽峰の近くは砂が真っ白で雪のように見える。目の前の受降城のあたりは霜のように月が冴えて物寂しい。この風景の寂しい折から、どこかで蘆管の曲を吹く音が聞こえる。この曲を聞いては、このあたりへ征伐に来た者は故郷を思い出すであろう。私ばかりではあるまい》

Climbing Shòujiàng City at Night and Hearing the Flute
The sand before Húilè Peak is like snow, the moon outside Shòujiàng City is like frost. Not knowing from where the reed pipe is blown, all night long the soldiers yearn for their homeland.
《Commentary: Climbing up to Shòujiàng City at night, the area near Húilè Peak appears pure white with sand like snow. Before my eyes, around Shòujiàng City, the moon shines cold as frost, creating a desolate atmosphere. In this lonely scenery, from somewhere comes the sound of a reed pipe melody. Upon hearing this tune, those who have come here on military campaigns must surely remember their hometowns. It cannot be only myself who feels this way》
