**覚（おぼえ）**

田村右京大夫の知行所における制札（せいさつ）の件について。隠岐守の代（だい）のとき、最初は自分（右京大夫）が制札を立てていたところ、奥山大炊が申し立てるには、キリシタン札だけは自分（右京大夫）が立て、残りの札については陸奥守の方から立てているとのことであった。しかるに、このたび代替わりにあたり札を改めることになったため、右京大夫が陸奥守に申し聞かせたところ、「右の札の件について、陸奥守の方から立てることで差し支えはないか」と願い出たところ、「以前通り手前（右京大夫）より立て申したい」との由を申した。

陸奥守が思うには、国中一般の事柄として、キリシタン札だけを右京大夫の方から立てるというわけにはいかない。その上、当面は差し支えはないかもしれないが、将来のためを考えれば、残りの札も同様に陸奥守の方から立て、キリシタン改めの牒（ちょう）もまた陸奥守の方から奉行所へ差し上げるようにするべきではないかと申し聞かせた。

以上の通り、雅楽頭殿に相談したところ、キリシタン札をも陸奥殿より立て改めることについては、右京亮に申し付け、牒面については陸奥守殿より奉行所へ差し上げるようにするのが然るべきである、とのことであった。以上。

**Memorandum (Oboegaki)**

Regarding the matter of notice boards (*seisatsu*) in the territory of Tamura Ukyō-no-dayū: During the tenure of Oki-no-kami, the boards had originally been erected by Ukyō-no-dayū himself. However, Okuyama Ōi submitted a claim stating that only the Christian prohibition board (*Kirishitan-fuda*) was erected by Ukyō-no-dayū himself, while the remaining boards were erected by the office of Mutsu-no-kami. Upon this occasion of replacing the boards due to a change of tenure, Ukyō-no-dayū consulted Mutsu-no-kami, asking whether it would cause any inconvenience for Mutsu-no-kami's office to erect the said boards. Ukyō-no-dayū replied that he wished to erect them himself, as had been done previously.

Mutsu-no-kami's view was that, as a matter of general policy throughout the domain, it would not be appropriate for only the Christian prohibition board to be erected by Ukyō-no-dayū's side. Furthermore, although there may be no immediate inconvenience, for the sake of the future, the remaining boards should likewise be erected by Mutsu-no-kami's office, and the register of Christian inspections (*Kirishitan aratame-chō*) should also be submitted to the magistrate's office (*bugyōsho*) from Mutsu-no-kami's side.

Having consulted Utagashira-dono regarding the above, the response was that it would be appropriate for Ukyō-no-suke to be instructed to have all boards, including the Christian prohibition board, erected under the authority of Mutsu-no-kami, and for the official register (*chōmen*) to be submitted to the magistrate's office from Mutsu-no-kami's side. The above is hereby noted.
