参河国古歌名蹟考 下之巻

○豐川 ●和名抄宝飯￣ノ郡￣ノ条、豊川《割書：止與｜加波》
●国名風土記《割書：上ノ｜十二丁》云、豊川トハ市盛（一リノイ）ノ長者アリケル、カレヲ見レバ
是河上ニ栖居玉フナリ、人屋サカンナルコト廿里ナリ、彼￣ノ民￣ノ家豊ニサカンナル故ニ
其流レヲ豊河ト号ス、
●名所方角抄《割書：五十｜九丁》云、豊河世俗の今橋といふ宿よりも北也、星野などゝ云所
に近し、三河の北は山つゞき也、今橋の宿より高師原へゆく也、北に大山あり、

○豊川 ●和名抄の宝飯郡の条に、豊川（とよかわ）
●国名風土記（上の十二丁）に言う、豊川とは市盛の長者がいた、これを見れば
この河上に住居を構えていたのである、人家が盛んなこと二十里なり、その民の家が豊かに栄えている故に
その流れを豊河と号する、
●名所方角抄（五十九丁）に言う、豊河は世俗で今橋という宿場よりも北である、星野などという所
に近い、三河の北は山続きである、今橋の宿より高師原へ行くのである、北に大山があり、
その麓に豊川がある、 ●藻塩草（五の七丁）三河同（六の二十丁）豊川郷（三河）

○Toyokawa River ●In the Wamyō-shō under the section on Hōi District, Toyokawa (Toyokawa)
●The Kokumei Fudoki (Volume 1, folio 12) states: Regarding Toyokawa, there was a wealthy man of Ichisaka, and if you look at this,
he built his residence upstream of this river. The houses flourished for twenty ri, and because the homes of those people prospered abundantly,
that waterway was called Toyokawa (Abundant River).
●The Meisho Hōgaku-shō (folio 59) states: Toyokawa is north of what is commonly called the Imabashi post station. It is close to a place
called Hoshino and such. The north of Mikawa is continuous mountains. From Imabashi post station one goes to Takashi Plain. There is a great mountain to the north,
and at its foot is the Toyokawa River. ●Moshiogusa (Volume 5, folio 7) Mikawa dō (Volume 6, folio 20) Toyokawa-gō (Mikawa)
