板野名東名西之三郡ゟ人夫御手傳ニ罷出候
村々請持與頭庄屋江申渡候演舌之覺
別宮川口不宜此度土場御普請被仰付候ニ
就而者其方共ゟ村々役人始メ小百姓共ニ至迄厚
申談孰も御国恩冥加を相心得日々多人数罷出
高洲浚いたし候中遠方ゟ罷出近村ハ再應
罷出候者も有之候得共少も不相厭前夜ゟ御普
請場え罷出暁天ゟ堀浚え持運等致候而已
ならす御手傳之事故目立候程相働不申而者
難相済との心構ニ而雨中をも頓着不仕令
出精候ニ付大ニ相速取候事ニ候尤土場之堀浚ニ付
未餘程之人夫召仕不申而者階出来ニ難
相成然故其方ニおいては村々百姓共出役
之義申談且村々之者共ニおゐては引続

村々請け持ち与頭庄屋へ申し渡す演説の覚え
別宮川口の調子が良くないので、この度土場御普請を仰せ付けられることに
ついては、そちらどもより村々役人を始め小百姓どもに至るまで厚く
申し談じ、いずれも御国恩冥加を心得て、日々多人数が参り出て
高洲浚いをした中で、遠方より参り出た者、近村では再び
参り出た者もいるけれども、少しも嫌がることなく前夜より御普請
場へ参り出て、暁天より堀浚えや土運び等をしただけで
なく、御手伝いのことゆえ目立つほど働かなければ
済まないとの心構えで、雨中をも気にせず励んだので、大いに工事が進んだことです。もっとも土場の堀浚えについては、
まだ相当の人夫を使わなければ完成は難しく、
そのためそちらにおいては村々百姓どもの出役の
件を申し談じ、かつ村々の者どもにおいては引き続き

Since the condition of Betsumiya River mouth is poor, regarding the土場 [earthwork site] construction project ordered this time,
you should thoroughly discuss with everyone from village officials to small farmers,
and with everyone understanding the benevolence and divine favor of the domain, many people came out daily to
dredge the elevated sandbanks. Among those who came from distant places and those from nearby villages who came
repeatedly, none showed any reluctance, coming to the construction
site from the previous evening and carrying out digging, dredging, and earth transport from dawn. Not only that,
but since this was assistance work, they worked with the mindset that they must work
conspicuously hard to fulfill their duty, making efforts without regard for rainy weather, so the work progressed greatly. However, regarding the digging and dredging of the earthwork site,
considerable more laborers must still be employed before completion can be
