申聞不相用者之儀ハ早々御役場へ為引出可申

取究聊相弛申間敷候得共當秋米穀取込候而も

現代語訳
番非人共が見回りをして、万一合力等を強情に申し出て、郷目付共が申し聞かせても用いない者の件については、早々に御役場へ引き出すべきである。風流遊興などで足を留めて滞在している体裁をよく見かけるとしても、篤実に所業を聞き合わせして有り様を申し出るように仕るべきである。その余の往来筋の者は勿論、平素右のような宿泊等をする者の件については、重々取り調べの趣旨により、夜中不意に取り調べを行うべき程に心得置くべき旨等、あれこれ思案を申し出たので、申し出の通り取り調べるよう申し渡されたことであるから、右の取り調べを少しも緩めてはならない。しかし当秋米穀の取り入れにおいても、とかく相場が高値であるので、この時期から月迫（12月）に至っても、なお胡乱者をはじめ右のような者共の入り込みは計り知れないほどである。よって油断のないよう触れ達しの件であるので、当夏の通り組村々で取り調べを行うべきである。

Even when one frequently observes those who stop and remain under the pretense of elegant entertainments and amusements, one should earnestly inquire into their conduct and report their circumstances. Regarding the remaining travelers on the roads, and of course those who regularly provide such lodging, according to the principle of thorough investigation, one should be prepared to conduct unexpected inspections even during the night. Various considerations were presented, so it was ordered that investigations be conducted as proposed. Therefore, the aforementioned investigations must not be relaxed in the slightest. However, even with this autumn's grain harvest, prices remain consistently high, so from this time until the end of the year (12th month), the number of suspicious persons and such individuals entering is incalculable.
