鴈追候義申出之懸り御指免被成候旨若山六十郎
申聞候尤年々之趣ニゟ候故猪鹿威鉄砲同様仕菅
方相心得其時之御鷹方懸合支之有無承候様申聞
候依之右之段与頭庄屋江より々申聞置候事

先達而被指出候御留野鳥追御指明之義申談候所
如何様郷分難渋之筋無余義相聞候時節も限り
有之事かた〳〵承届候条尚其時節ニ到候へハ時々
被申出候様ニ有之度旨若山六十郎殿被申聞候
ニ付尚同役共壱統江も其段申継候様可仕候於
然者私共申出候書付ハ相心得罷在時到り手崎々ゟ
御相談仕候様相心得可申哉之旨申述候處御
書付ニも年々氣候之趣ニ随ひ遅速被仰出
候趣ニ候へハ其通ニ御心得可被成候畢竟元建
相済候上ハ威鉄砲同様之引合候旨被申聞候

雁追いの義について申し出の件について御指し免じになられた旨、若山六十郎が申し聞かせました。もっとも年々の趣によることですから、猪鹿威し鉄砲と同様に仕る仕方を心得、その時の御鷹方と掛け合い、支障の有無を承るように申し聞かせました。これにより右の段を与頭庄屋へより々申し聞かせ置きました。
文化三寅年五月二十七日 六十郎殿から正兵衛への運書
先達て指し出されました御留野鳥追い御指し明の義について申し談じたところ、いかにも郷分難渋の筋やむを得ず相聞き、時節も限りがあることゆえかたがた承り届けました。条なお、その時節に到りましたら時々申し出るように致したい旨、若山六十郎殿が申し聞かせになりました。
これにつき、なお同役共一統へもその段申し継ぐように致すべきです。そうであれば、私共が申し出た書付は心得て罷り在り、時到り次第々から御相談いたすように心得申すべきでしょうかの旨申し述べたところ、御書付にも年々気候の趣に随い遅速を仰せ出される趣にありますれば、その通りに御心得になるべきです。畢竟、元建が相済んだ上は威し鉄砲同様の引き合いである旨を申し聞かせました。

Regarding the matter of the goose-driving request, Wakayama Rokujuro reported that permission has been granted. Since this follows the annual precedent, he instructed that the method should be understood as similar to the boar and deer scaring guns, and that consultation with the falconry officials at the time should be conducted to confirm whether there are any obstacles. Accordingly, this matter has been communicated to the village headmen through the group leaders.

Therefore, Wakayama Rokujuro-san has instructed that when the time comes, applications should be made from time to time as needed.
Regarding this matter, the same instructions should also be communicated to all colleagues in similar positions. In response, when asked whether we should keep the petition we submitted in mind and consult as each occasion arises, [he replied that] since the official document also states that timing may vary according to annual climate conditions, you should proceed accordingly. Ultimately, once the fundamental framework is established, this will be handled similarly to the scaring guns, he informed us.
