火之用心之義兼而取究向申付置いつれも相心得
居候事ニ候得とも追々寒風烈布時節ニ相懸ニ付
人々自分居宅者家族一円心ヲ付候者勿論之事ニ

五六軒も申談組合候而翌白昼たりとも農業
始留主等相成砌者右組合之者へ相頼置候様

但本文之通組合へ申付候得とも其家々ゟ

○【朱書き】
火の用心の件については、以前から取り決めて申し付けておき、皆も心得ているところではありますが、次第に寒風が激しく吹く時節になってきましたので、各人は自分の居宅については家族全員で注意するのは当然のことですが、その近隣の家数の多少に応じて三、四軒または五、六軒でも相談して組み合わせを作り、昼間であっても農業や留守などになる時は、右の組合の者に頼んでおくように致し、真心を込めて注意し合うべきです。右の趣旨を村内の頭百姓をはじめ小前の者に至るまで漏れなく重々厚く申し合わせるように申し付けるべきです。
ただし本文の通り組合に申し付けても、その家々から一人ずつ出して五人六人と揃って火の用心と大声で呼びながら見回りをすることは、ただ形式的で結局は真意を失い、寄り合い場所で企んで火を扱うような成り行きとなり、かえって害を生じることになりますので、右のような表面的な仕組みは控え、ひたすら真心を込めて注意し合うことが肝要です。

Regarding fire prevention, although we have previously established rules and given instructions, and everyone is aware of them, as we are entering the season of increasingly harsh cold winds, each person should naturally have their entire family pay attention to their own residence. However, depending on the number of neighboring houses, they should consult and form groups of three to four houses, or five to six houses. Even during daylight hours, when engaged in farming or when the head of household is away, they should arrange to rely on members of these groups and should pay attention to each other with sincere intent. This principle should be thoroughly and earnestly communicated without exception to everyone in the village, from the village headmen to the smaller farmers.
However, even if groups are organized as stated in the main text, having one person from each household join together in groups of five or six people to patrol while shouting "fire prevention" loudly is merely perfunctory and ultimately loses the true intent. This could lead to situations where people gather and carelessly handle fire, which would actually cause harm. Therefore, such superficial arrangements should be avoided, and it is essential to focus solely on paying attention to each other with sincere intent.
