一 杣日雇前金扶持米其外貸借之儀
致手形追而勘定之節明白可致
差引放埒ニいたし置後日滞候とも
証拠無之儀者相対ニ而埒明役所江
願出申間敷事
右之條々木師之者共急度可守之
自然於相背者可為曲事もの也
嘉永五壬子年十一月 山方役所
右御條目御渡被成下奉承知則別紙
請書差上急度可相守之候少茂相背儀
現代語訳
一 杣（そま）の日雇いに対する前金や扶持米、その他の貸し借りについては、
手形を作成し、後日決算する際に明確に
差し引き計算すること。いい加減にしておいて後日滞納があっても、
証拠がない件については当事者同士で解決し、役所に
願い出てはならないこと
右の各条項を木師たちは必ず守ること
もしこれに背く者があれば罰せられるものである
嘉永五年（壬子の年）十一月 山方役所
右の御条目をお渡しいただき承知いたしました。別紙の
請書を差し上げ、必ず守ります。少しでも違背する行為が

shall be conducted during later settlements. Even if there are defaults due to careless handling,
matters without evidence shall be resolved between the parties involved, and appeals shall not
be made to the authorities.
The above articles must be strictly observed by all woodworkers.
Anyone who violates these shall be subject to punishment.
