○豊岡から湯島まで陸路は非常に困難な場所であるため、皆川舟で湯島に下る。
乗合一人 十八文
一艘借り切り 百二十四文
ただし五人乗り定めで、六人以上は一人につき二十四文増し。屋形を作れば更に四十文増し。
挟箱一荷 二人前

右の外、旅人の荷物、風呂敷包などは、船賃なしである。
豊岡から京都・大坂への通し駕籠、荷物、人足および書状等の世話をする問屋は左の通りである。日暮れて船がなければ、この問屋に一宿して、翌日船で湯島へ行くべきである。
湯上がりも、出立の前日、夕方にここまでか、出石までか、納屋までか出てきて、諸用意をしておくとよい。

○From Toyooka to Yushima, the overland route is extremely difficult, so everyone takes river boats down to Yushima.
Shared boat per person: 18 mon
Charter one boat: 124 mon
However, the limit is five passengers; for six or more, add 24 mon per additional person. If a cabin is built, add another 40 mon.
One carrier's box with poles: equivalent to 2 passengers
One palanquin: equivalent to 2 passengers
One wicker basket load: equivalent to 2 passengers
One four-handled palanquin: equivalent to 1 passenger
Besides the above, travelers' baggage and furoshiki bundles are transported without charge.
The following are the agents who arrange through palanquins, baggage, porters, and letters from Toyooka to Kyoto and Osaka. If there are no boats at nightfall, one should stay overnight at these agencies and go to Yushima by boat the next day.
Even when returning from the hot springs, it is good to come here, or to Izushi, or to the warehouse by evening the day before departure to make all preparations.
