一 糸瓜（へちま） 《割書：蔓（つる）と共に一 箇（ツ）》
右五種を煎（せん）し。つねに
浴する如く。遍身（へんしん）残る所
なく洗ふべし。此方世間
に疱瘡（ほうさう）流行（はやる）時。かならず
用ゆべし
○稀痘（きとう）方
《割書：此方甚むつかしく用難しといへ共｜其効ある故にしるす》
一赤小豆 一 黒大豆（くろまめ）
一 菉豆（やへなり） 一 甘草（かんさう） 《割書：各細末一両》
右四味の粉薬（こくすり）を。竹の筒

節（ふし）をこめ右の薬を入た
る方の穴（あな）を杉の木（き）【別本による】にて
かたくつめ。少（すこし）もすきま
なきやうにして其上を黄（らう）

にて繋（つな）ぎ雪隠の中に入
置事。寒（かん）三十日が間。三十日
へて取出し。筒（つゝ）を清く

一 糸瓜《割書：蔓と共に一個》
右五種を煎じ、いつものように入浴するごとく、全身に残る所なく洗うべし。この方法は世間に疱瘡が流行する時、必ず用いるべし。
○希痘方
《割書：この方法は甚だ難しく用いるのが困難であるが、その効果があるゆえに記す》

Take the powdered medicine of the above four ingredients, and scrape the outer skin of a bamboo tube,

embed nodes at both ends, firmly plug the hole where the above medicine was inserted with cedar wood, ensuring there are no gaps whatsoever, seal the top with beeswax, tie with rope《Marginal note: however, hemp rope is better}}, and place it in the privy for thirty days during the cold season. After thirty days have passed, take it out, wash the tube clean, expose it to wind, leave it for one or two days, then break the bamboo and extract the medicine.
