其方儀極老之上病身罷成近頃致
類焼候旁ニ及極難渋候ニ付御救筋
願出候処御時節柄容易難承届
候得共格別之以 御憐愍稗被

奉存如同様ニ茂取続御百姓太
切ニ可勤候

黒沢村
稗二俵 伴右衛門
あなたは極老の上に病身となり、近頃類焼に遭い、非常に困窮している状況により、救済の願い出をしたところ、時節柄容易には承認し難いところであるが、格別の御憐愍をもって稗を下賜する。このような御慈悲を有り難く思い、同様に今後も百姓勤めを大切に励むように。
右の趣旨を申し渡すこと。以上

You are extremely old and have become ill, and recently suffered from a fire that spread to your property, resulting in extreme hardship. In response to your petition for relief, although it is difficult to approve such requests given the current circumstances, we will grant you barnyard millet out of special compassion. You should be grateful for this benevolence and continue to diligently perform your duties as a farmer in the same manner.
