私領分駿州富士郡天間村の義当月八日明
方より大風雨強昼九時雪崩殊にて富士
山鳴急に水押出し田畑とも平押家居
尤水入に相成追々引水の様子に相見へ
候所尚又八時頃山上俄に震動いたし
暗夜の如く相成無程洪水焼砂押来り
大石大木逆落押出し御領私領入
会の村々且組合用水木堰所幷澗川
通り凡深さ一丈七八尺より二丈余押埋田
過半落入農家等も水入に相成川下へは
人馬流候歟穀類流れ出して田畑反別

私の領分である駿河国富士郡天間村について、当月8日明け方から大風雨が強く、昼の9時頃に雪崩によって富士山が鳴動し、急に水が押し出して田畑とも平らに押し流され、家屋にも最も水が入るようになり、追々引き水のような様子に見えました。ところがなお又8時頃、山上が俄かに震動し、暗夜のようになり、程なく洪水と焼砂が押し寄せ、大石・大木が逆落ちして押し出し、御領・私領入り交じりの村々、且つ組合用水・木堰所並びに谷川通りを、凡そ深さ一丈七八尺から二丈余りまで押し埋め、田の過半が落ち込み、農家等も水浸しとなり、川下へは人馬が流されたでしょうか、穀類が流れ出して田畑の反別・破損箇所、最も流死した人馬の数等は分かりかねます。詳細については追って調べ上げて申し上げます。まずはこの件をお届け申し上げます。以上

Around 9 o'clock in the daytime, due to an avalanche, Mount Fuji roared and water suddenly rushed out, flattening both rice fields and dry fields alike, with houses also becoming flooded. The situation appeared to be gradually receding like withdrawing water. However, around 8 o'clock again, the mountaintop suddenly shook, it became dark as night, and before long floods and burning sand came rushing down.
