江戸留守之御咎
一江戸留守中無息御咎被仰付候得ハ親類相願通路いたし候事
但主人罷在候而無息之者御咎之節ハ門半〆ニも不致候得共江戸留守ニハ右之通之事
一宝暦元未四月嶋津勝右衛門御役御免遠慮仕罷在候処忰三平儀江戸表ゟ罷帰右勝右衛門慎中之処へ到着
直ニ遠慮伺差出伺之通被仰付候 但三年外ゟ被願取荷等いたし罷帰候処分ケ候儀不相成先方ニ而迷惑之趣ニ付親
類ゟ願之上荷物之分ハ親類方へ引取夫々先方へ仕分遣し候事連々留有之

江戸留守の御咎
一 江戸留守中、無息（むそく）御咎を仰せ付けられ候えば、親類相願い通路致し候事
ただし主人罷り在り候にて無息の者御咎の節は、門半締めにも致さず候えども、江戸留守には右の通りの事
一 宝暦元年未年四月、嶋津勝右衛門御役御免遠慮仕り罷り在り候処、息子三平儀、江戸表より罷り帰り、右勝右衛門慎み中の処へ到着、直ちに遠慮伺い差し出し、伺いの通り仰せ付けられ候

Punishments During Absence in Edo
1. When those absent in Edo are ordered to undergo musoku (無息) punishment, relatives may request and conduct passage.
However, when the master is present and retainers are punished with musoku, gates are not even half-closed, but when absent in Edo, the above procedures apply.
1. In the 4th month of Hōreki 1st year (Year of the Sheep), Shimazu Katsuzaemon was relieved of his duties and practiced restraint. His son Sanpei returned from Edo and arrived at Katsuzaemon's place of restraint. He immediately submitted a petition for restraint and was ordered to do as petitioned.
However, since he had been granted leave for three years and returned with luggage, it was not possible to sort it out, causing inconvenience to others. Upon petition by relatives, the luggage was taken by relatives and distributed to the respective parties. This matter remained pending for some time.
