物外ニ何角為挨拶琉球嶌壱反被送之御酒一献出之
廿七日己卯曇南都一乗院宮薨去二付昨廿六日より明廿八日二至り
三日之間鳴物停止也○隣家丹後守成崇昨夕卒去ニ付為弔
悔参御酒二升送也于時三老年八十一也
廿八日庚辰曇今夕宵宮能停止限ニ付例よりハ少々遅刻ニ而被相催也

五日丁巳 雨 調達御講三十一会目、例の如く三本樹においてこれあり、出役なり。出水夕刻既に橋引きにと欲するなり。戌刻帰宅了えた。
六日戊午 雨 未刻土用入りなり。
七日己未 曇り 夕刻雷鳴夕立ち即ち雨、大雷二三声。○御講勘定例の如し。○先月以来三十ヶ日余り雨続きに付き、明八日より七日の間止雨御祈祷仰せ出され、経千中日本宮出役番なり。
十一日癸亥 雨 御祈り中日、本宮参勤順番なり。逞清方へ代わり初めて相頼んでこれを了えた。
十二日甲子 雨 金掛御講十九会に付き三本樹吉田屋へ出役、諸事例の如し。○瀬尾次兵衛主従、尾州段御名目銀御書きのため拝借一件に付き、昨年六月以来関東へ召し下され出府のところ、返納滞りなく諸事相済み、昨十一日上京帰着と云々。但し未だ面会を得ず。
二十二日甲戌 曇り 午後夕立ち雷鳴 瀬尾次兵衛帰京後初めて入来、土産物の外に何やかやと挨拶のため琉球島一反送られ、御酒一献出した。
二十七日己卯 曇り 南都一乗院宮薨去に付き昨二十六日より明二十八日に至り三日の間鳴物停止なり。○隣家丹後守成崇昨夕卒去に付き弔慰のため参り、御酒二升送る。その時三老年八十一なり。
二十八日庚辰 曇り 今夕宵宮能停止の限りに付き例よりは少々遅刻にて催される。
二十九日辛巳 雨 御戸代会能例の如し。

Sixth Month (short month)
Fifth day, Hinoto-mi (丁巳), rain. The procurement lecture, thirty-first session, was held at Sanbongi as usual, and I attended on duty. At evening the floodwaters were already about to wash away the bridge. I returned home at the hour of the Dog.
Sixth day, Tsuchinoe-uma (戊午), rain. At the hour of the Sheep, the summer season began.
Seventh day, Tsuchinoto-hitsuji (己未), overcast. In the evening there was thunder, a sudden shower followed by rain, with two or three loud thunderclaps. ○ The lecture accounting was conducted as usual. ○ Due to over thirty days of continuous rain since last month, prayers for the cessation of rain were ordered from tomorrow the eighth for seven days, and it is Keisen's turn to serve at the main shrine on the middle day.
Eleventh day, Mizunoto-i (癸亥), rain. Middle day of the prayers, it was the turn for attendance at the main shrine. I requested Teikiyo to go in my place for the first time.
Twelfth day, Kinoe-ne (甲子), rain. For the nineteenth session of the Gold-backed Lecture at Sanbongi Yoshidaya, I attended on duty, all matters as usual. ○ Regarding the matter of Seo Jihei and his retainers borrowing silver for the Owari domain registered names document writing, they were summoned to the east and went to Edo since June last year, and having completed repayment without delay and settled all matters, they returned to Kyoto yesterday the eleventh, and so forth. However, I have not yet had a meeting.
Twenty-second day, Kinoe-inu (甲戌), overcast. Afternoon sudden shower with thunder. Seo Jihei made his first visit since returning to Kyoto, and besides souvenirs, sent one tan of Ryukyu fabric as a courtesy gift, and I served him one cup of sake.
Twenty-seventh day, Tsuchinoto-u (己卯), overcast. Due to the death of Prince Ichijōin of Nanto, from yesterday the twenty-sixth until tomorrow the twenty-eighth, musical instruments are suspended for three days. ○ Due to the death last evening of my neighbor Tango-no-kami Naritaka, I went to offer condolences and sent two shō of sake. At that time he was eighty-one years old.
Twenty-eighth day, Kanoe-tatsu (庚辰), overcast. Due to the suspension of tonight's evening shrine Noh performance, it was held somewhat later than usual.
Twenty-ninth day, Kanoto-mi (辛巳), rain. The Otoshiro-kai Noh was held as usual.
Seventh Month (long month)
First day, Mizunoe-uma (壬午), rain. The post-banquet monkey performance, etc. were completed as usual. However, Noh master Kawakatsu Gonnoshin, whose mourning period ended yesterday the twenty-ninth, performed his duties today.
Seventh day, Tsuchinoe-ne (戊子), rain. The Tanabata Shinto rituals, noble family congratulatory verses, etc. were as in previous years.
