Proceeded to the castle
1. December 10th: Due to the cold season, [the lord] served the duty officer Okubo Kaga no Kami Tadamasu to inquire about [the shogun's] well-being, and afterward made courtesy visits to the remaining senior councilors.
1. December 12th: For the same reason, through a messenger, the customary offering of first-grade fresh cod from the domain was presented as usual.
1. December 15th: Similarly, second-grade fresh cod was presented.
1. December 21st: As year-end felicitations, through a messenger, kosode (kimono) was presented as customary.
Ten pieces of silver were presented to the Dainagon, ten pieces of silver were offered to the Midaidokoro (shogun's wife).
The same was offered to the Gosudare-sama for the first time.
Hōei 4th year, year of the boar
1. New Year's Day: For New Year's felicitations, [the lord] proceeded to the castle and presented tachi (sword) and horse substitutes as customary.
Received silk garments as gifts.
1. Same day: New Year's ceremonies were held at the residence.
1. 3rd of the same month: For the felicitations of the first Noh chanting of the year, through a messenger, sake cup stands and sake money were presented as customary.
1. 7th of the same month: For the first meal ceremony, through a messenger, fish delicacies were presented as customary.
