中納言《割書：国｜豊》殿江御太刀金馬代奉書紙《割書：十｜束》二種一荷《割書：御樽代｜千疋》佐久丸殿江
御太刀金馬代二種一荷 梅姫様江鬠紙《割書：五十｜帖》二種一荷智宝院様
西台様江昆布一箱干鯛一箱御樽代千疋宛被進之
但八左衛門去月廿六日御国表出立二月十日福井江帰着
一 同月廿六日歳暮御祝儀御献上ニ付而之御内書并御奉書於
御城御渡有之御家来拝領物等如例

吉邦様昨五日御着府ニ付御同道ニ而御用番大久保加賀守《割書：忠｜増》殿江

一 正月二十八日 痛む所があったため登城をお断りされた

吉邦様より使者酒井典膳知房を以て 梅姫様へ結納を進められた
ことにつき
吉品様より右同様祝儀のため使者松原八左衛門嘉雄を以て日野西
中納言国豊殿へ太刀金馬代奉書紙十束二種一荷樽代千疋、佐久丸殿へ
太刀金馬代二種一荷、梅姫様へ鬢紙五十帖二種一荷、智宝院様
西台様へ昆布一箱干鯛一箱樽代千疋宛を進められた
但し八左衛門は先月二十六日国元を出立し二月十日福井へ帰着した
一 同月二十六日 歳暮祝儀献上につきての内書並びに奉書が
城において渡され、家来への拝領物等は例の通りであった
一 三月六日
吉邦様が昨日五日に着府されたことにつき同道にて御用番大久保加賀守忠増殿へ
勤仕された
一 同月十五日 右同様につき
吉邦様と同道にて 登城され礼を申し上げることが済み同道にて
西丸へ 登城され礼を申し述べられ 下城された後老中御側
用人へ 廻勤された

1. January 28th: Due to having a painful ailment, [the lord] declined to proceed to the castle.
1. February 5th:
Through messenger Sakai Tenzen Tomofusa, Lord Yoshikuni presented betrothal gifts to Princess Ume.
In connection with this,
Lord Yoshishine, for the same celebratory purpose, through messenger Matsubara Hachizaemon Yoshio, presented to Hinonishi Chunagon Kunitoyo: tachi sword, gold horse substitute, formal paper (10 bundles), two kinds and one load, sake barrel money (1000 hiki); to Lord Sakumaru: tachi sword, gold horse substitute, two kinds and one load; to Princess Ume: hair paper (50 booklets), two kinds and one load; to Chihoin-sama and Nishidai-sama: one box of kelp each, one box of dried sea bream each, and sake barrel money of 1000 hiki each.
Note: Hachizaemon departed from the domain on the 26th of last month and returned to Fukui on February 10th.
1. 26th of the same month: Internal letters and formal documents regarding year-end felicitation presentations were handed over at the castle, and gifts to retainers were as customary.
1. March 6th:
As Lord Yoshikuni arrived in Edo yesterday on the 5th, [Lord Yoshishine] served together with him to the duty officer Okubo Kaga no Kami Tadamasu.
1. 15th of the same month: For the same reason,
Together with Lord Yoshikuni, [they] proceeded to the castle and completed the formal greetings, then together proceeded to the Western Citadel where formal greetings were also completed. After leaving the castle, [they] made courtesy visits to the senior councilors, chamberlains, and administrative officers.
