福井出立
一 五月二日 使者毛受孫兵衛（利以）が禁裏内御玄関に出向き、献上物を納めた（この際、案内として伝奏から雑掌が付き添わされた）。これについて伝奏（柳原前大納言殿、高野前中納言殿）から以下の通り返書を渡された。
お手紙を拝見いたしました。去る月八日に
禁裏御所方が炎上いたしましたが、幸い皆様ご無事でございます。
つきましては、
ご機嫌をうかがうため使者をもって目録の通り献上されました品を奏達いたしましたところ、
ご感悦の御事でございます。恐々謹言

一 同月三日 端午の祝儀として使者をもって例の通り御帷子、御単を献上し、大納言様に銀五枚を献上した。御台様、御簾中様に白銀を差し上げた。
一 同月五日 梅姫様が福井に到着された。
ただし去る月二十九日に京都を出発し、東近江路を旅行された。

Departed from Fukui
1. On the 2nd day of the 5th month: The messenger Menju Magobei (Toshimoto) went to the inner entrance of the Imperial Palace and presented the offerings (on this occasion, a minor official was assigned by the court nobles as a guide). Regarding this matter, the following letter of reply was given by the court nobles (Former Grand Counselor Yanagiwara and Former Middle Counselor Takano):
We have received and read your letter. On the 8th day of last month,
the Imperial Palace buildings were destroyed by fire, but fortunately everyone is safe.
Therefore, to inquire about
His Imperial Majesty's well-being, you sent a messenger with offerings as listed in the catalog, which we have reported to the throne,
and His Majesty was pleased. Respectfully submitted with fear and reverence.

To Lord Matsudaira Hyōbu-no-taiyu
1. On the 3rd day of the same month: For the Boys' Day celebrations, summer robes and unlined garments were presented through a messenger as customary. Five pieces of silver were presented to His Excellency the Grand Counselor. White silver was presented to Her Ladyship and the Ladies of the Inner Palace.
1. On the 5th day of the same month: Princess Ume arrived in Fukui.
Note: She departed Kyoto on the 29th day of last month and traveled via the eastern Ōmi route.
