The grand opening ceremony for the entire line was held, and as a wing of the Tokaido Main Line, the connection to Kakegawa Station on the Tokaido Line was completed under the critical mission of military industrial transportation in the current situation. Toyohashi Station has become cramped for freight and passenger transport, and expansion work for the station building and premises is currently underway.
Thus, Toyohashi suddenly became a transportation hub connecting in all directions, causing rapid urban expansion. As citizens' industrial and cultural life developed and improved, communication became increasingly busy, naturally requiring the improvement of related institutions and swift handling and utilization.
Furthermore, in water transportation, following the completion of the Yagyu River canal, the improvement of the Toyokawa River and the construction of Toyohashi Port have finally begun, promising truly delightful development for the city upon completion.
