【本文】
此心は雨かぜにはなのちりおつるは
ぜひもなしされば日かげゆう〳〵
とのどかなるに花のちるはいかなる事
ぞといふ也春の日はのどかなるに花は
何とてしづかなる心なくしてかくいそが
はしげにちるぞと花にうらみをふか
くいひかけたる心也何とてはなの
しづかに心なくとはなをよみ
そえて見るべし

【本文】
この心は、雨風には花の散り落ちるのは仕方がないことだ。しかし、日差しがゆったりと穏やかなのに花が散るのはどういうことなのかということである。春の日は穏やかなのに、花は何故静かな心もなくして、このように慌ただしそうに散るのかと、花に深い恨みを込めて言いかけた心である。「何とて」「花の」「静心なく」とは、花を詠み添えて理解すべきである。

【Main Text】
This sentiment is that while flowers scattering and falling in rain and wind is inevitable, what does it mean for flowers to scatter when the sunlight is gentle and peaceful? Though spring days are tranquil, why do the flowers fall so hastily without a peaceful heart? This expresses deep resentment directed at the flowers. The phrases "why," "flowers," and "without a peaceful heart" should be understood by reading them together with the word "flowers."
