一佐久間玄蕃殿金沢打入之年数八十一年に成申候当年まて
金沢ノ城に三年程居住被成候玄蕃殿御内つけノ喜左衛門両
年之間たかノすノ城に居申候山おく并越中とおりより
参候一きをふせき被申候
一其後 大納言様御打入被成能州すへ森ノ城え御越候
跡にたかノすノ城には敦がの八彌矢と申人を弐年程御すへ置

一駒帰と娚杉とのさかいむねよしに清水と申所にて佐久間
玄蕃殿御富永十右衛門と一き共たゝかい則十右衛門てつほう
にてうたれ死被申候
一其後 大納言様御内松本いらくと申坊主一きふせきノ
ためにたかノすノ城に一両年居被申候御世しつまり金沢へ
帰り被申候
右は万治弐年西市瀬村之老人親之咄を聞伝

一、才川高ノ巣の古城跡の広さは二反程もあるでしょう
一、佐久間玄蕃殿が金沢に打ち入った年から数えて八十一年になります。当年まで金沢の城に三年程居住なさいました。玄蕃殿の家臣の喜左衛門が両年の間、高ノ巣の城に居りました。山奥並びに越中通りより参る一揆を防いでおりました。
一、その後、大納言様（前田利家）が御打入りなさって能登国末森の城へお越しになりました。跡に高ノ巣の城には敦賀の八彌矢という人を二年程お据え置きになりました。
一、駒帰と嫁杉との境の宗吉にて清水という所で、佐久間玄蕃殿の家臣富永十右衛門と一揆がともに戦い、すぐに十右衛門は鉄砲にて撃たれ死にました。
一、その後、大納言様の家臣松本以楽という坊主が一揆防戦のために高ノ巣の城に一、二年居りましたが、御世が静まって金沢へ帰りました。
右は万治二年、西市瀬村の老人が親の話を聞き伝えたという、その頃の覚え事です。
今度白山の鳴動について御尋ねに付き申し上げる事
一、信長様の御代に白山が鳴りました。これは大雲が吹き破るようで、すなわち御宮も損ねました。おがみなく一若混乱いたしました。
一、信長様が御逝去の砌、黒雲が出てその内より法師の形

1. The ruins of the old castle at Takanasu on the Sai River are about 2 tan in area.
1. It has been eighty-one years since Lord Sakuma Genba entered Kanazawa by force. Until this year, he resided in Kanazawa castle for about three years. Genba's retainer Kizaemon stayed at Takanasu castle for two years, defending against ikki (peasant uprisings) coming from the mountain depths and the Etchu route.
1. After that, the Dainagon (Maeda Toshiie) made his entry and went to Suemori castle in Noto Province. In his place at Takanasu castle, he stationed a man called Yamiya from Tsuruga for about two years.
1. At the border between Komagaeri and Yomesugi, at a place called Shimizu in Muneyoshi, Lord Sakuma Genba's retainer Tominaga Juemon fought together with ikki, and Juemon was immediately shot dead by a matchlock gun.
1. After that, the Dainagon's retainer, a monk named Matsumoto Iraku, stayed at Takanasu castle for one or two years to defend against ikki, but when the realm became peaceful, he returned to Kanazawa.
The above are memories from that time, told by an old man from Nishiichise village in Manji 2nd year, who had heard these stories from his father.
Regarding the recent inquiry about the rumbling of Mount Hakusan
1. During Lord Nobunaga's time, Mount Hakusan rumbled. This was like great clouds bursting, and indeed it damaged the shrine. There was great confusion and panic.
