現代語訳
測量方が播州池田より差し出した先触書が三月二十七日の夜に伊那部村より継送されてきた。即座に写しを取って栗田村へ順次伝達し、写し書を役所へ提出した。
ところが、この先触には飯田より伊那街道甲州府中まで派遣するとあったため、堂垣外村より取り戻しを行い、伊那部村へ継ぎ戻し、それから殿村へ順次伝達するようにとの沙汰があり、これもまた早速継ぎ戻した。
この先触書を役所へ差し出した際の伺いの上で、四月一日出立にて清水町の町代十兵衛、中町の庄田屋幸吉と三州辺りまでの諸事について伺いを立て、村々への会釈方等について聞き合わせを行った。

A preliminary notice issued by the surveying office from Ikeda in Harima Province was relayed from Inabe Village on the night of the 27th day of the 3rd month. A copy was immediately made and transmitted in sequence to Kurita Village, and a written copy was submitted to the government office.
However, since this preliminary notice mentioned dispatching surveyors from Iida via the Ina Highway to Kofu in Kai Province, orders were given to retrieve it from Dogakigai Village, relay it back to Inabe Village, and then transmit it in sequence to Tono Village. This too was promptly relayed back.
When this preliminary notice was submitted to the government office, after making inquiries, it was decided to depart on the 1st day of the 4th month. Consultations were made with Jubei, the town representative of Shimizu-cho, and Kokichi of Shodaya in Naka-machi regarding various matters up to the Sanshu area, and discussions were held about protocols for village visits.
