そうであれば、お国元も定めて格別なることもあるまいと安心いたしますが、実際のところが分からないうちは心配しております。元吉町へはまだ参っておりません。小石川のお屋敷内も多分損傷があり、外の通りはほとんど全て打ち返されたということです。

朔日（卯の日）朝より快晴、残暑で夜中まで暑く、夜に入ってむら雲が出ました。日食の節は暑く曇っていました。九月節句には帷子着用御免の御達しが出ました。
日食 昼四つ九分より八つ二分まで。朝四つ九分に上の方より欠け始め、九つ六分に上の左に甚だしく、八つ二分に左の上に終わりました。
