《Note: During the period from New Year's Day to the 16th day, door curtains shall be hung at the middle gate. Additionally, on the days of the December minor festivals, the two monthly duty officers shall go to the shrine grounds and have them hung》
First, before cockcrow, the shrine attendants shall urge each shrine official to come and participate
At the hour of the first part of the rabbit hour (around 5 AM), the director-general shall command three shrine attendants to convey this message
The announcement shall be made by going out through the gate three times
Wearing court dress (sokutai), accompanied by one white-clad attendant, each shall come carrying shoes, sacred food containers for the deity's withdrawal, father boxes, etc.
Only the five officials shall wear white silk garments, and afterward the shrine officials such as Kataoka and Kifusho shall also wear them
From New Year's Day of Jōkyō 1 (1684), those of Shingu rank and below were made to wear them, and from the time of the Kanpō reconstruction,
it was decided that they should be worn at every divine ritual without exception. Thereafter, not only for the walking archery divine ritual but also for both the regular New Year's Day and special occasions, each should wear them as decided at the attendants' quarters during the divine rituals《Note: and so forth》
