玉箒木春の初音に手折りもて玉の緒なる草垣故なる
抄に云う。玉箒とは燈燈という草にて箒を結い、正月の初子に蚕を掃き始めるのである。

初春の初子の今日の玉箒手に取るからに揺らぐ玉の緒
玉箒のことは清輔袋草子に詳しく見えたりと覚える。なお考え知るべし。
燃燈祭 正月下子日午刻

Lantern Festival First Month, Second Day of the Rat, Hour of the Horse
