志摩守直丘様を以てお指し出しになった（加賀爪次郎右衛門殿がお同道された）。
「同氏兵部大輔は足痛、その上持病もあるにより、先頃願いの通り隠居を仰せ付けられ、有り難い仕合わせと存じております。それに就いて在所へ罷り越し、ゆっくりと養生いたしたく存じる由申しております。不都合とお思し召しでなければ、お暇の儀をお願い申し上げます。何分にもよろしく様お取り成しをお願い申し上げます。以上

吉邦様がご登城されたところ（昨五日、御老中連名の御切紙が来た）、お願いの通り吉品様の御国許への御暇を仰せ出され、御羽織五つを御拝領仰せ付けられた旨、御老中からお達しがあった。御退出の掛かりに、右の御礼のため御老中・若年寄中へ御廻勤され、それから鳥越御屋敷へお出でになり、御対顔の上で仰せ出しの趣を仰せ上げられ、再び御名代として御老中・御側御用人へ御廻勤され、若年寄中・御側衆へ御使者をお指し出しになった。
一 同月七日 御在国中の公辺御勤めの儀により、御用番井上河内守正岑殿へ吉邦様からお伺い書をお指し出しされたところ、追って左の通り附札を以てお指図があった。

"As Hyōbu-dayū of the same family has foot pain and chronic illness, he was graciously granted retirement as petitioned earlier, which we consider a most grateful circumstance. In connection with this, he wishes to return to his domain and recover his health at leisure. If this does not seem inappropriate to you, we humbly request permission for leave. We earnestly request your favorable consideration in this matter. The above.

When Lord Yoshikuni went to the castle (yesterday, the fifth day, a joint kirishi from the rōjū arrived), permission for Lord Yoshitomo to take leave for his domain was granted as petitioned, and he was graciously awarded five haori (formal jackets). After receiving this notification from the rōjū, upon departure, he made courtesy rounds to the rōjū and wakadoshiyori to express gratitude, then went to the Torigoe mansion, where after a face-to-face meeting, he conveyed the substance of what had been announced. Again, as representative, he made rounds to the rōjū and goyōnin (personal attendants), and sent messengers to the wakadoshiyori and gososhu (personal retainers).
Item: Seventh day of the same month - Regarding official duties while residing in the domain, Lord Yoshikuni submitted an inquiry to the duty official Inoue Kawachi-no-kami Masamine, whereupon the following instructions were given through an attached note.
