そも〳〵なみだ山 非常（ひじやう）明王は御救（おすくひ）の小屋山（こやさん）町法（てうほう）大事（だいじ）の御 作（さく）にして
地震（ぢしん）雷（かみなり）火事（くわじ）親父（おやぢ）を倶足（ぐそく）し奉る本尊なり悪魔（あくま）降伏（かうぶく）は
もちろん世上（せじやう）の人気（しんき）をなほし放蕩（はうとう）惰弱（だぢやく）を止（とゞめ）たまふとの御せいくわん也
地震（ぢしん）と現（げん）じ給ふ時 強欲（がうよく）いんあくの土蔵（どさう）をおとし雷鳴（らいめい）とあら
わるゝときは聾（つんぼう）の耳を貫（つらぬき）魂（たましい）を天蓋（てんがい）にとばして無慈悲（むじひ）の心（しん）
中（ちう）をかわらしむ火事（くわじ）身（しん）を現（げん）じてはつぶれし家（いへ）より火（ひ）をはなち
消人（けして）なければやけほうだい夜（よ）の明（あけ）るにしたがひていつしかきえてあと
かたいなきの涙（なみだ）の箸（はし）もたぬまでになりても命（いのち）さへあれば一法（ひとほう）かきかへてくだなすとすれば親仁身（おやぢしん）それかけ出して野宿（のじゆく）の雨津浪（あめつなみ）
くるとだまされて逃（にげ）たあとから盗（ぬす）みする極悪人（ごくあくにん）はいざしら浪（なみ）心を
直（すぐ）にもつものは誓（ちかひ）て助（たす）けまゐらする非常（ひじやう）明王の御剱（みつるぎ）は
おやの異見（いけん）の剱（けん）なるべし片手（かたて）にぎる財布尻（さいふじり）しめしを守（まも）る
子孫（しそん）へあたへたまふとの御つげなればつぶれ
しんで後悔（こうくわい）あられませう

くやしくたづぬるにむかし
地震王（ぢしんわう）またかど焼亡（しやうほう）のきこえ
ありて商売（しやうはい）ださだまりかねて命（めい）をかうむり田原（たはら）俵（へう）だ
火出（ひで）たと御すくひとして二合半のもつそうにておめに
かりふくれがはらにおしよせたり此ときなみだ山 毎日（まいにち）大（たい）そう
不そうおうをいのり施（ほどこ）し米（ごめ）のはかりれをもつて又門（またかど）の崩（くづ）れと
なりしもこの尊像（そんざう）の御とくなり此ときのうたに
またかどでこめかみよりぞうたれける

一同今難渋者なり

【ここより本尊像右側の本文】
そもそも涙山非常明王は、お救いの小屋、山町法、大事の御作であって、地震・雷・火事・親父を具足し奉る本尊である。悪魔降伏はもちろん、世上の人心を直し、放蕩・怠惰を止めたまうとの御誓願である。
地震と現じ給う時は、強欲・陰悪の土蔵を落とし、雷鳴と現れる時は聾の耳を貫き、魂を天蓋に飛ばして無慈悲の心中を変えさせる。火事の身を現じては、つぶれた家より火を放ち、消す人がなければ焼け放題。夜が明けるに従っていつの間にか消えて、跡形もないまでの涙も箸も持たぬまでになっても、命さえあれば一方書き替えて下さるとすれば、親父身それ駆け出して野宿の雨津波が来ると騙されて逃げた後から盗みする極悪人はいざ知らず、心を正直に持つ者は誓って助け参らする。非常明王の御剣は親の異見の剣であろう。片手に握る財布尻、倹約を守る子孫へ与えたまうとの御告げなれば、つぶれ死んで後悔あられましょう。

ようやく安堵し奉る。本尊の由来を詳しく尋ねるに、昔、地震王また門焼亡の噂があって、商売が定まりかねて命を受け、田原俵だ、火が出たとお救いとして二合半の木綿装束にて御目にかり膨れが腹に押し寄せたり。この時涙山毎日大層、不相応王を祈り、施し米の計りを以って又門の崩れとなりしも、この尊像の御徳なり。この時の歌に
又門で米噛みよりぞ歌れける
瓦落ちたが裂けりこそして

The Tears Mountain Emergency Wisdom King is the principal deity of rescue huts, town laws, and important works, embodying earthquake, thunder, fire, and fathers. Beyond subduing demons, his sacred vow is to correct the hearts of people in the world and stop debauchery and laziness.
When manifesting as an earthquake, he topples the storehouses of the greedy and wicked. When appearing as thunder, he pierces the ears of the deaf, sending souls flying to heaven and transforming merciless hearts. When manifesting as fire, he releases flames from collapsed houses, and if no one extinguishes them, they burn freely. As night turns to day, the flames mysteriously disappear, leaving nothing behind. Even when reduced to having neither tears nor chopsticks, if life remains, he will rewrite one's fate. When father-earthquakes rush out and people flee, deceived by talk of rain and tsunamis, there are villains who steal afterward, but those with honest hearts are sworn to be saved. The sword of the Emergency Wisdom King is the sword of parental admonition. Grasping purse strings with one hand, he bestows upon descendants the protection of frugality, according to his divine message. Those who perish in destruction will surely regret it.

Finally finding peace and security. When inquiring in detail about the origin of this principal deity, long ago there were rumors of an Earthquake King and gate conflagrations. Unable to settle on business and receiving orders, Tahara-hyō, when fire broke out, came as rescue in cotton garments of two and a half gō, his swollen belly pressing forward. At this time, Tears Mountain prayed daily to the greatly inappropriate king, and through the measure of charitable rice, the collapse of the gates became the virtue of this sacred image. The poem from that time:
At the gate again, chanting arose from the temples
The fallen tiles cracked and split
