この歌の心は、「和田の原」は海の総称である。
はるかに舟を漕ぎ出して眺めると、本当に
雲と波が一つになって、はるばると
見渡されるのである。「久方」は
雲を言うための枕詞
である。本当に海の
果てが限りないという
意味をよく情景を
言い表した
余情は限りない。

Number Seventy-Six
The meaning of this poem is that "Wada no hara" is a general name for the sea.
Rowing a boat far out to sea and gazing around, truly
the clouds and waves become one, stretching out
endlessly into the distance. "Hisakata" is
a pillow word (makurakotoba)
used before "clouds."
This poem truly expresses well
the meaning of the sea's
boundless expanse,
and its lingering emotion is limitless.
