一同日、親の十兵衛の数年の勤功をお認めいただき、御使番役を命じられた。もっとも御側勤は免除され、御在所へ戻された。

- Meiwa 8, Kanoto-u (1771), 8th month, 20th day: He was summoned and appointed to 御側勤 (personal service to the lord).
- An'ei 4, Kinoto-hitsuji (1775), intercalary 12th month, 15th day: Due to the lord's intention to retire the following spring, he was appointed to 御附御側勤 (attached personal service). This was while stationed in Edo.
- Same 5th year, Hinoe-saru (1776), 7th month, 5th day: He inherited the family headship.
- Same day: In recognition of his father Jūbei's years of meritorious service, he was appointed to 御使番役 (messenger official). However, he was relieved of personal service duties and sent back to the domain.

Nagaoka Katsujirō
- Meiwa 9, Mizunoe-tatsu (1772), 2nd month, 23rd day: He was summoned and appointed to personal service.
- An'ei 4, Kinoto-hitsuji (1775), intercalary 12th month, 15th day: Due to the lord's intention to retire the following spring, he was appointed as an attendant. He was stationed in Edo.
- Same 5th year, Hinoe-saru (1776), 5th month, 28th day: Due to [the lord's] considerations, he was relieved of personal service to the retired lord and sent back to the domain under the supervision of the chief retainer. His duties were to be announced later.
He absconded while stationed in Edo without returning to the domain.
