差し当たり夫食の備えがある者共も潰れた家の下にあり、殊に泥水を被り
容易に取り出すことができず、小前の末々に至っても夫食の手当てがなく
者共はなおさら。水を飲むには用水を用いてきたところ、泥水交じりとなり
飢えと渇きに及んでいるところ、自地の村々一般に寄り合って助け合う食料もない間、当
日救済方として夫食の手当てを及ぶ限りは行いましたが、百ヶ村余りのこと、
到底惣体遠方まで私共の自力では届かず、身元のしっかりした者共でさえ
潰家災難に遭ったことで、寄り合っての取り計らいもできず、やむを得ず郷

The situation is indescribably difficult to report, extremely inconvenient and lamentable. All villages are in the same condition. Even those who had emergency food supplies stored have them buried under collapsed houses, especially covered with muddy water, making it impossible to easily retrieve them. The common people down to the lowest ranks have no provisions for emergency food, and these people are in even worse straits. For drinking water, they had been using irrigation water, but it has become mixed with mud.
