指出シ申添証文之事
一 儀此度権現様御掃除役被 仰付畏入奉存候右為役料
私質地ニ入申候居宅ニ被指置可被下候御契約ニ相定申候
併為修覆料銀七匁五分宛毎暮御役元江急度差出シ
可申候然ル上之永々毎月十四日廿四日晦日ニは無間違急度
御掃除役相勤可申候若日限り致相違候歟又は無掃除
等致其外疎略之勤方致候ハヽ中途ニ而茂無御遠慮
御引替可被下候早速居宅明渡シ可申候其節何れ之人を
被差置候共一言之御恨申間敷候年季之内は
権現様御掃除屋敷ニ差上置候上は諸事大切ニ仕御
掃除一度成共懈怠仕間敷候万一当人心得違御座候ハヽ
加判人引受御掃除は勿論其外不依何事御差図次第ニ
取計ひ御役人中江少茂御苦労掛申間敷候為後日

現代語訳
差し出し申し添え証文の事
一、この度権現様の御掃除役を仰せ付けられ、恐れ入り存じ奉ります。右の役料として、私が質地に入れ申した居宅にお住まいいただくという御契約に定め申しました。ただし、修復料として銀七匁五分ずつ毎年暮れに御役元へ必ず差し出し申すべきです。そして今後永続的に毎月十四日、二十四日、月末には間違いなく必ず御掃除役を勤め申すべきです。もし日限りに違反したり、また掃除をしなかったり、その他疎略な勤め方をした場合は、中途であっても遠慮なく交代させていただき、早速居宅を明け渡し申すべきです。その際どなたを後任に置かれても一言の恨み言も申しません。年季の内は権現様御掃除屋敷として差し上げて置く以上は、すべて大切に扱い、御掃除を一度たりとも怠ることはいたしません。万一当人の心得違いがございましたら、加判人が引き受けて御掃除はもちろん、その他何事によらず御指図次第に取り計らい、御役人中に少しでも御苦労をおかけ申しません。後日のため、よって一札このとおりです。

Document of Additional Pledge Submitted
Item: This time I have been humbly appointed to the position of cleaning service for Gongen-sama, for which I am deeply grateful. It has been agreed in the contract that as compensation for this service, I shall be allowed to reside in the dwelling that I have pledged as collateral. However, as repair fees, I must without fail submit seven monme and five bu of silver each year-end to the authorities. Furthermore, going forward permanently, I shall without fail perform the cleaning duties on the 14th, 24th, and last day of each month. Should I violate the schedule, fail to clean, or perform my duties negligently in any other way, I may be replaced even midway through the term without reservation, and I shall immediately vacate the dwelling. At that time, regardless of who is appointed as replacement, I shall harbor no resentment whatsoever. During the term, since the dwelling is dedicated as a cleaning residence for Gongen-sama, I shall treat everything with utmost care and shall never neglect the cleaning duties even once. Should the principal party err in understanding, the guarantors shall take responsibility for the cleaning duties and, of course, handle all other matters according to instructions, ensuring no trouble whatsoever is caused to the officials. This pledge is made for future reference.
