蓮花（れんけ）
前本（せんほん）七十二に載といへども尽（つく）さゝるゆへ亦以て爰（こゝ）に載する者数十品尚
此余（このよ）これあるへけれども未た目撃（み）されは載る能（あた）はす
一種 賜紅蓮（しこうれん）
白川侯／蓮譜（れんふ）に載（のす）る図（つ）花の形／豊（ゆたか）にして牡丹（ほたん）の如（こと）く辨（へん）大く数（かす）少く淡（うす）
紅色（あかいろ）花の本に蔕（てい）あり牡丹（ほたん）亦／芍薬（しやくやく）に似（に）て青紫色（あをむらさきいろ）也

白川侯の蓮譜に載せる図によると、花の形は豊かで牡丹のようで、花弁は大きく数は少なく、淡い
紅色である。花の基部に萼があり、牡丹または芍薬に似て青紫色である

Lotus Flower (renka)
Although these were recorded in the previous volume 72, since they were not exhaustively covered, dozens of varieties are recorded here again. There are likely still more beyond these, but since they have not yet been observed firsthand, they cannot be included.
One variety: Shikouren (Bestowed Red Lotus)
According to the illustration recorded in Lord Shirakawa's Lotus Manual, the flower form is abundant and peony-like, with large petals that are few in number and pale red in color. There is a calyx at the base of the flower, resembling that of peonies or Chinese peonies, and it is blue-purple in color.
