天の恵地の恵のめくみかも
しつかふせやに春の来る盤

徐く目出度年を超若水汲る音には
常盤なる松の聲を添鉢植なる梅か香
福壽草も共にうち揃ひたる此春を
迎はつ日の出青畳を照し御慶目出度
数〳〵の数の子なりと間似合に松竹梅
を熨斗包み屠蘓を寿盃に浪〳〵と
浪のり船の音もよき初鶯や初若菜
七草薺【なずな】うちはやし長閑【のどか】なる日もけふと
過あすと過行光陰に関をとじむる人の

ようやく目出度く年を越え、若水を汲む音には
常盤なる松の声を添え、鉢植えなる梅の香、
福寿草も共に揃ったこの春を
迎える初日の出が青畳を照らし、御慶目出度く
数々の数の子なりと、見合いに応じて松竹梅を
のし袋に包み、屠蘇を祝いの杯に波々と注ぎ、
波乗り船の音もよき初鶯や初若菜、
七草の薺を打ち囃し、長閑な日も今日と
過ぎ明日と過ぎ行く光陰に関所を閉じる人の

Accompanied by the voice of the evergreen pine, the fragrance of potted plum blossoms,
And fortune grass all gathered together for this spring—
The first sunrise illuminates the blue tatami mats, congratulations and felicitations,
With countless herring roe, appropriately wrapping pine, bamboo, and plum
In ceremonial gift paper, pouring spiced sake into celebratory cups,
The pleasant sounds of wave-riding boats, first warblers and first young greens,
The seven spring herbs including shepherd's purse are celebrated with music, and on these tranquil days
As today passes and tomorrow passes, time flows by, and those who close the barrier gates...
