町々及び在辺よりも是を
献ずる事多し其内
在郷の馬は朝町々の馬は
昼後也此馬の頭に本馬 俄（にはか）
馬の二品あり本馬といへ
るは行列（きやうれつ）厳重（げんじう）にして其
所々の印持（しるしもち）を先に立次
に子供数多 棒（ほう）を持次に
若き者大勢長刀をかつ
ぎ其路より馬を牽（ひく）也馬
には皆具（かいぐ）の餝（かざ）りをなし
鞍（くら）のうへに種々の作り物
を置是を標具（だし）と号（なづ）く

端午（たんご）馬の搭（とう）
町々及び近郊からもこれを奉納することが多い。その中で、在郷の馬は朝、町々の馬は午後である。この馬の頭（かしら）に本馬と俄（にわか）馬の二種類がある。本馬というのは行列が厳重で、その所々の印持（しるしもち）を先頭に立て、次に子供たちが数多く棒を持ち、次に若い者たちが大勢で長刀を担ぎ、その後から馬を牽く。馬にはすべて馬具の飾りを施し、鞍の上に種々の作り物を置く。これを標具（だし）と称する。すべてこの競子（けいご）の出立ては善美を尽くして諸人の目を驚かせる。俄

馬というのは裸馬に薦（こも）を巻き、剣祓（けんばらい）を付けて、その後ろから綱を引いて行く者が、その年の流行に様々な風流を尽くして、すこぶる興がある。これはすべて桶狭間の遺風であろうけれども、そのまま競馬の余韻も見えて、府下大須の馬の搭とはほぼその趣を異にしている。

Tango (Boys' Day) Horse Procession
Many towns and nearby villages offer these processions. Among them, horses from rural areas come in the morning, while horses from the towns come in the afternoon. There are two types of horse processions: hon-uma (main horses) and niwaka-uma (impromptu horses). The hon-uma features a solemn procession with banner bearers leading the way, followed by many children carrying sticks, then young men carrying long swords, with the horses being led behind them. All horses are decorated with full horse trappings, and various ornamental objects are placed on their saddles, called dashi (floats). horses are bare horses wrapped with straw mats and fitted with sword purification ornaments, with those leading them by ropes from behind displaying various fashionable styles of that year with great refinement and considerable charm. This is all likely a remnant of the Okehazama tradition, but it also shows traces of horse racing, differing considerably in character from the horse processions of Osu in the capital.
