一品将軍宗良親王もまたこの城にお住まいになった。太平記に、暦応三年九月十八日、脇屋刑部卿義助が美濃国根尾の城に立てこもった時、土岐弾正少弼同刑部大輔頼康らに攻め落とされて、家臣七十三人を連れて身分を隠して密かに逃れ、熱田大宮司の城、尾張国波津（はづ）が崎へ落ち延びて、十余日滞在して敗軍の兵を集め、そこから伊勢・伊賀を経て吉野殿へ参られたと見える。信濃宮の伝記に、一品宮宗良親王は十余年の歳月を上野・信濃の間で過ごされ、正平二十四年の夏、光資を信濃に留め置かれて、尾張国犬山へ出陣され、同国羽豆崎より船に乗られ、伊勢路を経て吉野へお上りになったと記されている。細川勝元の霊蘭集という医学書にも、尾張国波頭（はづ）崎の城代の兵士たちが負傷して風邪をひいた際、黄龍湯を用いて治療したことが記されており、古い城跡である。

Prince Munenaga, the First Rank General, also resided in this castle. According to the Taiheiki, on the 18th day of the 9th month of Rekiō 3 (1340), when Wakiya Yoshisuke, Governor of the Ministry of Justice, fortified himself in Neo Castle in Mino Province, he was defeated by Toki Danjō-shōhitsu and Gyōbu-taifu Yoriyasu and others. Taking seventy-three retainers with him, he disguised himself and secretly fled to the castle of the Grand Priest of Atsuta, to Hazu Point in Owari Province, where he stayed for more than ten days gathering defeated soldiers, then proceeded via Ise and Iga to the Yoshino Palace. According to the biography of Prince Shinano, First Rank Prince Munenaga spent more than ten years between Kōzuke and Shinano provinces. In the summer of Shōhei 24 (1369), leaving Mitsusuke in Shinano, he advanced to Inuyama in Owari Province, took a ship from Hazu Point in the same province, and traveled via the Ise route to ascend to Yoshino. The medical text called Reiranshū by Hosokawa Katsumoto also records that when soldiers of the castle commander at Hazu Point in Owari Province were wounded and caught cold, they were treated using Ōryūtō medicine, indicating this is an ancient castle site.
Shinojima (located about one ri south of Morozaki on the sea, with a circumference of three ri and quite prosperous households).
