に帆をとばせり兵船五百余艘 義良（よしなか）親王及び北畠顕信卿の御船
を中にたてゝ遠江の天龍 灘（なだ）を通りける時海風暴に吹あれて逆
浪天を蔽（おほ）ひ或は帆柱（ほばしら）を折られ或は梶を失ひ多くの兵船伊豆
の大島めらの泊に吹よせられぬはなかりけり親王の御船も既に
くつがへらんとしける所に光明 赫耀（かくやく）たる日輪御船のへさきに現
せしほとに頓（やが）て暴風もしづまりて伊勢の国神風の浜《割書：新葉集｜に篠島》

現代語訳
帆を張って進んだ兵船五百余艘、義良親王および北畠顕信卿の御船を中央に配置して、遠江の天竜川の難所を通った時、海風が激しく吹き荒れて、逆巻く波が天を覆い、ある船は帆柱を折られ、ある船は舵を失い、多くの兵船が伊豆の大島周辺の港に吹き寄せられないことはなかった。親王の御船も既に転覆しそうになったところ、光り輝く太陽が御船の舳先に現れると、すぐに暴風も静まって、伊勢国神風の浜（新葉集には篠島とある、これである）に漂着された。こうして吉野より日野僧正を勅使として、この僧に詔を下された。そして親王は吉野に帰られ、後醍醐帝の譲位を受けて即位された。後村上院がこれである。なお詳しいことは太平記に記されている。ここを帝がおられた跡と言い伝えて古城山と呼ぶとのこと。今も帝井というものがあって、みなその時の名残である。

More than five hundred warships set sail with Prince Yoshinaga and Lord Kitabatake Akinobu's ship positioned in the center. When they passed through the treacherous waters of the Tenryu River in Tōtōmi Province, violent sea winds blew up storms, with towering waves covering the sky. Some ships had their masts broken, others lost their rudders, and many warships were blown toward the harbors around Izu's Ōshima Island without exception. Just as the Prince's ship was about to capsize, a brilliantly shining sun appeared at the bow of the vessel, and immediately the storm subsided, allowing them to drift ashore at Kamikaze Beach in Ise Province (referred to as Shinojima in the Shinyōshū collection). Thus, from Yoshino, the High Priest Hino was sent as an imperial messenger to deliver the imperial edict to this monk. The Prince then returned to Yoshino, received the abdication from Emperor Go-Daigo, and ascended the throne. This was Emperor Go-Murakami. Further details can be found in the Taiheiki.
