井際山持宝院《割書：馬場村にあり真言宗｜長野村万徳寺末》当寺もと伽藍ありて観福寺と
号す中世 頽廃（たいはい）して只観音堂一宇のみ存せしが寛正元年庚辰
全尊といへる僧再建して今の寺号とすしかれども今も猶観音
堂には古名を呼て観福寺と云むかし弘法大師加持し給ひて湧（わき）
出（いで）し轟（とゞろき）の井今も山下にありさて数百の石磴を登れば観音堂
あり爰より南を望めば蒼海の末に朝熊山を見渡してその風
景いふ計りなし又境内及び近き山々に桜楓数千株ありて
春花秋葉雲にまがひ霞を欺（あざむ）く風景はさながら変態（へんたい）動揺（だうよう）
する画図にして実に絶倫 無儔（むちう）の勝地也中にも観音 平（だいら）

井際山持宝院（馬場村にあり、真言宗、長野村万徳寺の末寺）
当寺はもともと伽藍があって観福寺と号していた。中世に衰退して、ただ観音堂一棟のみが残っていたが、寛正元年（1460年）に全尊という僧が再建して今の寺号とした。しかしながら今でもなお観音堂には古い名前で呼んで観福寺と言う。昔、弘法大師が加持なさって湧き出した轟の井が今も山下にある。さて数百の石段を登れば観音堂がある。ここから南を望めば青い海の彼方に朝熊山を見渡すことができ、その風景は言葉では言い表せないほどである。また境内及び近くの山々に桜や楓が数千株あって、春の花、秋の葉が雲と見間違うほどで霞を欺くような風景は、そのまま変化に富んだ動きのある絵画のようで、実に比類なき無双の名勝地である。中でも観音平、いなり山などと呼ばれる場所は特に素晴らしい。

英語訳
Seisaisan Jihōin Temple (Located in Baba Village, Shingon sect, branch temple of Mantokuji in Nagano Village)
This temple originally had a full temple complex and was called Kanfukuji. During the medieval period it fell into decline, and only the Kannon Hall remained, but in the first year of Kanshō (1460), a monk named Zenson rebuilt it and gave it the current temple name. However, even now the Kannon Hall is still called by its old name, Kanfukuji. Long ago, through the blessing of Kōbō Daishi (Kūkai), the Todoroki Well sprang forth, and it still exists at the foot of the mountain today. After climbing several hundred stone steps, one reaches the Kannon Hall. From here, looking south, one can see Asama Mountain beyond the blue sea, and the scenery is indescribably beautiful. Moreover, there are several thousand cherry and maple trees in the temple grounds and nearby mountains, and the spring blossoms and autumn leaves blend with the clouds and deceive the mist, creating a landscape that resembles a dynamic, ever-changing painting—truly an incomparable and unrivaled scenic spot. Among these, the places called Kannon-daira and Inari-yama are particularly outstanding.
