富具崎（ふぐざき）
晁文淵
しばらく塵世の騒がしさを厭い、物外の遊びを尋ね求める。琴を携えて奇岩に寄りかかり、酒を載せて行く舟を望む。万の山々には既に雪が敷かれ、千の林は早くも秋を終える。幽玄な趣を遍く楽しみ、ただ夕陽の沈むのを見るばかり。

南の荒海を望むも山は見えず、蒼い波は遥かに天と連なっている。風に帆を上げた幾艘かの船が鷺のように飛んでいる。これこそ東に向かう大船であることを知る。

大鵬も雲も飛び尽くし大海が開ける。潮は千頭の鯨を送り、その響きは雷のようだ。伊勢と三河が相対して傾き、まさに門のようである。銀の波が幾重にも重なって真っ直ぐに押し寄せてくる。

Temporarily weary of worldly clamor, I seek recreation beyond the mundane world. Carrying a koto, I lean against strange rocks; loading wine, I gaze at passing boats. Ten thousand peaks are already covered with snow, a thousand groves have early bid farewell to autumn. Enjoying secluded pleasures everywhere, I simply watch the evening sun set.

Looking toward the southern wilderness, no mountains are visible. The blue waves stretch endlessly, connecting with the sky. Several wind-filled sails fly like herons. I know these are the great ships heading eastward.

Mori Shinsai
When the great roc and clouds finish flying, the vast sea opens wide. The tide sends forth a thousand whales, their sound like thunder. Ise and Mikawa lean toward each other, just like a gateway. Silver waves, layer upon layer, come surging straight ahead.
